Less than four weeks to go

Our wedding isn’t far away now, less than 4 weeks, with yesterday marking the passing of the 28-day barrier.

Still a lot of things to do:

  • Find presents for groomsmen (chosen but not yet obtained)
  • Finalise seating plan for reception
  • Make sure I am able to perform bridal waltz (I’m a little unco)
  • Finalise running time of reception
  • Talk to videographer about what we want and confirm their presence
  • Write my vows
  • Write my wedding night speech
  • Arrange a suit-fitting for my youngest brother, who will be ring-bearer
  • Confirm champagne and furniture requirements with ceremony venue
  • Obtain quote from hire company on a marquee for the day, should the weather not go our way
  • Choose song for bridal waltz.

Quite a list! There are also a few other things to do, mostly arranging final payment for people.

Despite being quite busy finalising plans, I am getting very excited about the day itself. Being E’lise’s husband sits very well with me (naturally) and I can’t wait until I can speak about her as ‘my wife’.
